ZOMI.INFO | [Update publication date before promoting]
Zomi Information Network is entering a renewed chapter as a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to reliable information, preserved heritage, education, research, and stronger connections throughout the Zomi world.
Founded in 2001, ZIN emerged from a vision to address the informational, cultural, educational, and communal needs of the Zomi people. That need has only grown as Zomi communities have expanded across countries, languages, institutions, and digital platforms.
The renewed Zomi.info is being developed as more than a news website. It is designed as a permanent information network through which people can understand important events, explore Zomi history and culture, access educational resources, discover organizations and services, and contribute knowledge for future generations.
What the Renewed ZIN Will Provide
- Verified news and public-interest explainers;
- Zomi history, culture, language, and literature;
- Educational materials and scholarship information;
- Research papers, reports, maps, and historical documents;
- Directories of churches, organizations, businesses, and professionals;
- Diaspora updates and community events;
- Public-service information for families and communities; and
- Opportunities to contribute documents, photographs, research, oral histories, and community information.
A Network Built With the Community
The word “Network” is central to our identity. ZIN is designed to receive, organize, verify, and preserve knowledge from the community.
We invite the Zomi community and friends of the Zomi people to explore the platform, contribute responsibly, correct constructively, and help build a reliable body of knowledge for generations to come.
