According to local sources, in the morning following the deadly air attack in Kantablu Township where more than 80 people, including women and children, lost their lives, the bodies were being picked up and buried. However, the situation took a grim turn when the Military Council Air Force bombed the area again in the evening.
The bombing was reported by an armed revolutionary named Kobei, who witnessed a jet plane circling the village three times and dropping 12 bombs.
The residents had received news of the incoming attack and had hidden in a protected area, but the bombs still caused damage. Kobei reported that in the morning, before the evening bombing, the bodies of the victims were being collected and burned.
